Sadly, FLUMIST (the flu nasal vaccine) has not been up to snuff this last year! The CDC monitors our vaccines every year. Although we have had great results from past years, FLUMIST did not meet flu vaccine standards this past flu season. The CDC is working on a solution for future Flumist vaccines. We care about what we give to our patients. Therefore, we are following the American Academy of Pediatrics recommendations. Kids First will only have the flu shot vaccine option available this year.
All kids from 6 months and up should get a flu shot. We will be sending an email and posting on our website when our shipment of flu vaccine has arrived!
