Role Models
You may not always be, but for now you are a role model for your child. Everything you say and do is absorbed and processed by your child. Think back to your own childhood and you may realize what characteristics and habits you picked up from your parents.
Charactercounts.org points out 6 pillars of character. Review them and try to model them for your child.
Trustworthiness: Be honest - Don't deceive, cheat or steal - Be reliable ... do what you say you'll do - Have the courage to do the right thing - Build a good reputation - Be loyal ... stand by your family, friends and country

Your child is going to school! Along with all the information they will learn there, they are also picking up social cues from friends and from their family. Be a good role model. They will watch your language and how you react in difficult situations.
