Potty Training
Children are usually ready to potty train sometime between age two and three. Pressuring a child to start training before they are ready often backfires. Signs that your child may be ready include staying dry for several hours at a time, the ability to pull down pants and underwear, preference in wearing underwear instead of diapers and interest in the potty chair or toilet. The most important factor is a recognition that they need to urinate or stool. It is not uncommon to experience some set backs during training especially if there is a major event such as a move or a new sibling.
