Language Development

Since your pregnancy, your baby has been listening to the sound of your voice. Babies will recognize your voice and turn toward you when you speak.

Talk to your baby frequently. Infants learn, not only words, but also speech patterns and rhythms. Most mothers will verbalize throughout the day without even realizing it- "let's go get your diaper changed now".

Between two to three months most babies will not only coo but will start to make noises in response to conversation with them. You will notice your baby will become quiet when you talk and will watch your face attentively.
